Resolution on "Respect for Independence of Constitutional Courts"

At the XVIIth Congress of the Conference of European Constitutional Courts (CECC), held in June 2017 in Batumi, Georgia, the Circle of Presidents of European constitutional courts and other similar European institutions exercising constitutional jurisdiction adopted a resolution calling for respect for independence of constitutional courts. Independent constitutional justice is namely a key element of a state committed to democracy and the rule of law. The Resolution was adopted on a proposal of the Austrian Constitutional Court.
