E-Government at a Glance
By introducing section 14a Constitutional Court Act (VfGG), the Administrative Jurisdiction Implementing Act 2013 (Verwaltungsgerichtsbarkeits-Ausführungsgesetz 2013, Federal Law Gazette BGBl. I 33/2013) established the legal bases of communication for citizens, lawyers and authorities with the Constitutional Court by way of electronic legal filings (ERV) and other technical means. In the future, all communications, from filing an application to the service of decisions, can be handled fully electronically.
In order to meet the statutory requirements, the Constitutional Court converted all internal and external court proceedings to electronic-only (electronic file (ELAK), court and electronic legal filings) as of 8 April 2013. The paperless handling of proceedings will facilitate the work of the Constitutional Court as well as that of applicants and authorities.
